Managing your data source and running a sync

Manage your Microsoft 365 data source and trigger syncs in Directory Console → Data Sources.

Written by Greg Bennett

OneDirectory syncs profile data one-way from your Microsoft 365 tenant(s). Manage it in Directory Console → Data Sources.

Open Data Sources

  1. In the OneDirectory sidebar (your live employee directory), click Directory Console at the bottom.

  2. In the Directory Console sidebar, select Data Sources.

The data source table

Shows your data source (Microsoft 365 / Entra ID), its Status, whether it’s Enabled, its Read and Write access, the Azure Tenant ID, and when it was Last Polled For Changes.

Sync details

  • Sync Schedule — for example, an incremental sync every hour and a full sync every 24 hours.

  • Last Sync, Last Sync Started / Completed, and Data Version.

Running a sync

  • Request full sync — request a complete re-sync of your data.

  • Full Sync / Incremental Sync buttons — trigger a sync on demand.

Note: The sync is one-way and read-only — OneDirectory reads profile data from Microsoft 365 but never writes anything back. Some sync controls are gated by OneDirectory Support.
