My Microsoft 365 changes aren't appearing in OneDirectory

OneDirectory syncs one-way from Microsoft 365 — changes appear after the next sync, not instantly.

Written by Greg Bennett

OneDirectory syncs one-way from Microsoft 365, so changes appear after the next sync rather than instantly.

What to check

  1. Give it up to an hour. OneDirectory runs an incremental sync hourly, so most changes appear within the hour.

  2. Some fields refresh daily. A few fields (such as photo, birthday, and About Me) refresh once every 24 hours.

  3. Run a manual sync. To pull changes sooner, trigger a sync from Directory Console → Data Sources.

  4. Check the field’s data source. If a field is set to be edited in OneDirectory, it no longer syncs from Microsoft.

Still not syncing?

If a change is correct in Microsoft 365 but hasn’t appeared after a full sync, contact OneDirectory Support.

Tip: Check exactly how often a specific field refreshes in Directory Console → Fields — click the field to see its sync schedule.
