The connections pane on the right of every profile shows how a person fits into your organization, their reporting line, direct reports, assistants, and dotted-line relationships.
Reporting line
At the top, the pane highlights the person’s profile and shows their reporting line two levels up — their manager and their manager’s manager.
To see the full chain, click the arrow above the top card. The pane expands all the way to the top of the organization, so you can see exactly where the person fits in the org chart.
Direct Reports
Below the reporting line, Direct Reports shows everyone who reports directly to the person, along with a count.
Assistant
If one is set, the person’s Assistant is shown here.
Dotted Line Managers and Reports
If set up, Dotted Line Managers (and Dotted Line Reports) show secondary, non-direct reporting relationships.
Open anyone’s profile
Click any card in the connections pane to open that person’s profile.
Tip: The reporting line is built from the Manager field. Assistants and dotted-line relationships appear only when those fields are enabled and set. |
