Using the OneDirectory homepage

What you'll find on the homepage: company links, New Hires and Celebrations, and how to open it from the sidebar.

Written by Greg Bennett

The homepage is the Home page of your live directory. It gives everyone in your organization one place to find company links, see who has joined recently and see upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries. Administrators choose what appears on it in Directory Console → Appearance → Homepage.

Open the homepage

Click Home at the top of the OneDirectory sidebar. If your administrator has set Home as the default start page, OneDirectory opens on it automatically.

Note: If you don't see Home in the sidebar, the homepage has been turned off for your organization. Ask your OneDirectory administrator if you'd like it switched on.

What's on the homepage

  • Company links: shortcuts to tools your organization uses, such as your intranet or HR system. Click a link to open that site. The links are the same for everyone.

  • New Hires: people whose hire date falls within the last 30, 60 or 90 days, depending on what your administrator has chosen. If nobody joined in that period, the tile says so.

  • Celebrations: upcoming birthdays and work anniversaries. The number next to the title shows how many fall in the next 7 days. Each entry shows the person's photo and name, the occasion, their office and department, and the day it falls on.

Click any person in New Hires or Celebrations to open their profile.

Your administrator can turn each tile on or off, so your homepage may show only some of these.

Why isn't someone showing?

New Hires and work anniversaries come from each person's Hire Date, and birthdays come from their Birthday. If those fields are empty on someone's profile, that person won't appear in the tile. See Why are New Hires or Celebrations empty on the homepage?
