The homepage gives everyone in your organization one landing page with company links, recent new hires and upcoming celebrations. Administrators set it up in Directory Console → Appearance → Homepage.
Who can do this: Administrators only. Appearance isn't available to Directory Editors or End Users. |
Open Homepage settings
Either:
On the homepage, click Edit in Console in the top bar. This opens the Homepage tab directly.
Or click Directory Console at the bottom of the OneDirectory sidebar, select Appearance, then open the Homepage tab.
Turn the homepage on or off
Switch Show homepage on to show the homepage to everyone, or off to hide it.
Click Save Homepage Settings.
The Home item in the sidebar follows this setting. It isn't controlled by the Sidebar toggles in Display Settings.
Note: If the default start page is set to Home and you turn the homepage off, OneDirectory opens on Departments instead. To choose a different start page, change Default start page in Display Settings. |
Add company links
Under Company Links, add shortcuts to your intranet, HR system and other tools. See How to add, edit, reorder or remove company links on the homepage.
Choose the tiles
Under Tiles, switch each tile on or off:
New Hires: lists recent joiners based on Hire Date. Use the dropdown next to the toggle to choose Past 30 days, Past 60 days or Past 90 days.
Celebrations → Birthdays: shows upcoming birthdays based on the Birthday field.
Celebrations → Work anniversaries: shows upcoming work anniversaries based on Hire Date.
Click Save Homepage Settings to apply. On the homepage, clicking any person in these tiles opens their profile.
Note: If a tile's field isn't filled in for everyone, a warning under the tile shows the percentage of people who have it set. People without that field won't appear in the tile. See Why are New Hires or Celebrations empty on the homepage? |
Make the homepage the start page
In Appearance, open the Display Settings tab.
Under Default start page, choose Home.
Click Save Display Settings.
OneDirectory now opens on the homepage for everyone, as long as Show homepage is on.
