You can hide an individual person from the directory and org chart, or show someone who's currently hidden, in the Directory Console.
Hide or show a person
In your live directory, click Edit in Console in the top bar, next to your profile picture. You can also open the Console from Directory Console at the bottom of the OneDirectory sidebar.
In the Directory Console sidebar, open People, then Synced Profiles (or Managed Profiles).
Find the person in the list and click their row. You can use Search by name in the toolbar above the grid. A panel opens on the right.
Open the Manage tab.
Under Show in directory, choose an option:
Automatic: visibility follows your filtering rules.
Yes, always show: always shown, even if a filtering rule would otherwise hide them.
No, always hide: hidden from the directory and org chart.
Your choice applies right away. A Hidden badge appears next to the person's name, and the eye icon at the start of their row in the People list shows as crossed out.
Hiding a person removes them from both the directory and the org chart, but doesn't delete them. You can show them again the same way.
Note: The Edit in Console button is available to Administrators and Directory Editors. Yes, always show and No, always hide both override your filtering rules for that person. |
Hiding more than one person
To change several people at once, tick the checkbox at the start of each row in the People list, click Show in directory in the bar that appears, choose an option and apply it. See How to show or hide profiles in bulk.
If the accounts are a whole type that keeps arriving with each sync, such as meeting rooms or guests, a filtering rule handles new ones automatically. See Understanding Filtering Rules.
