Why isn't a field showing on a profile?

Empty fields are hidden on profiles — a field with no data won't appear until a value is added.

If a field is missing from a profile, it’s usually because the field is empty.

Empty fields are hidden

OneDirectory only shows fields that have data. If a field has no value for that person, it’s automatically hidden on their profile — so profiles stay clean and show only relevant information.

To make a field appear

Add a value to the field. Depending on the field’s data source, set it in Microsoft 365 (synced fields) or edit it in OneDirectory (editable fields). See Making a field editable.

Note: If a field is disabled entirely in Fields, it won’t appear on any profile — see Enabling & disabling profile fields.
